Patient/Employee Screener

In response to the global pandemic caused by SARS-CoV-2, Scrivas is recruiting individuals to be a part of “flattening the curve” in Florida. Scrivas is currently recruiting patient and employee screeners who will play an essential role in the COVID-19 pandemic response. Those selected for these roles will be trained by Scrivas to perform screening questions of all individuals entering their assigned healthcare facility in order to identify if access can or cannot be granted. This role is essential in minimizing the risk of exposure to the patients and staff within the healthcare facility, including high-risk individuals.

In this role, Screeners will utilize a series of questions provided to them to identify if an individual is cleared to enter the building for either a physician appointment or to attend work.

Screeners need to be comfortable talking with people in a kind and friendly manner. They need to be comfortable asking personal questions, as this information is critical in identifying if an individual should be granted entry into the facility. Staff are required to follow all scripts and standard operating procedures provided and comply with Scrivas as well as the assigned healthcare facilities policies


Anyone selected for these roles must meet the following criteria:

  • Screeners need to be committed to working for a minimum of nine months 
  • Ability to communicate with members of the public and request confidential health information while maintaining professionalism and compassion
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required and ability to interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress
  • Proficiency with technology and an ability to learn and adapt to new technological systems
  • Follow strict data privacy guidelines
  • Comfortable working independently 


  • Minimum age 18 yrs. old
  • High School Diploma required


  • Part time and full time scheduling available
  • Position requires availability to work the following schedule:
    • Mostly weekend shifts and an occasional weekday shifts
    • Will work 2-3 shifts per week
    • Shifts can range between 6-12 hour shifts
    • Scheduling flexibility preferred as hours and days of the week scheduled may fluctuate 
  • Reliable attendance and transportation are mandatory


 Must be able to sit for long periods of time; frequent walking for short distances, repetitive motion work with keyboards and physical writing.

Preferred attributes include the following:

  • Preference may be given to those working towards a degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, or Medical School
  • Persons who are multilingual, especially Spanish speakers
